MTC's Factory Transformation Programme (FTP) - Dec 2024

On 3 December 2024 in Banting, Johari Abdul Ghani visited two participants of the Factory Transformation Programme (FTP) by the Malaysian Timber Council. He was accompanied by key representatives from the Ministry of Plantation and Commodities and MTC, reflecting strong government support in advancing the timber industry's transformation.

Launched in 2021, the FTP aims to enhance manufacturing efficiency and Industry 4.0 readiness through initiatives such as Green 5S, Lean Management, and QRQC. To date, 58 companies have participated, with 38 achieving SIRIM certification.

During the visit, Kim Teck Lee Timber Flooring Sdn Bhd and Weng Meng Industries Sdn Bhd were recognised with SIRIM's Certificate of Recognition for Lean Management, highlighting their commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
