Our History
Founded in 1979, Weng Meng Industries began as a small manufacturer of timber joinery products such as wooden cable reels, pallets, and furniture. By the mid-1980s, we diversified into timber doors, eventually growing into one of the world's most comprehensive total door solutions providers.
Over the years, we expanded our product range to include steel cable reels and engineered joinery doors, while steadily growing our manufacturing footprint across Malaysia. Milestones such as ISO and FSC/PEFC certifications reflect our commitment to quality and sustainability.
Today, with over 8 million doors installed worldwide and a strong presence across Southeast Asia, Weng Meng stands as a market leader in cable reels and door solutions.
Weng Meng Industries Sdn Bhd was established, as a manufacture of pallets, timber joinery products, and wooden reels. Initial factory size: 2.6 acres (11,000 m²).
Establishment of Jurusanwa Enterprise Sdn Bhd, manufacturing fire-rated doors under the Sandor brand, with a focus on the Malaysian market.
Expansion of door product range to non-fire rated door.
Commenced production of steel cable reels for cable & wire industries.
Relocated operations to a larger facility spanning 6.3 acres (25,000 m²).
Achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification.
Expanded 2nd door manufacturing plant. Factory size: 5.0 acres (20,000 m²).
Established 3rd manufacturing plant. Factory size: 2.6 acres (11,000 m²).
Obtained FSC® Chain of Custody Certification.
Consolidated 3 factories to larger a facility covering 20 acres (81,000 m²).
Upgraded quality management systems to ISO 9001:2008.
Obtained PEFC Chain of Custody certification.
Established EFI Home Sdn Bhd to manage the domestic B to C segment.
Establishment of Weng Meng Reel Sdn Bhd as a dedicated manufacturing arm for wooden and steel reel products.
Weng Meng Reel Sdn Bhd obtained ISO 9001:2015.

- Establishment of Weng Meng Greentech Sdn Bhd as a dedicated R&D and manufacturing arm for green sustainable material, specialise in converting Oil Palm Tree Trunk (OPT) to timber alternative material.

- Achievement of Environment and Sustainability Distinction, Digitalisation and Digitising Excellence, COVID-19 Operations Excellence from Malaysian Timber Council (MTC) Industry Award.
