Weng Meng Industries Sdn Bhd is the leading supplier and manufacturer of drums to the cable industry in Malaysia since the late seventies.

Through the years, the name “Weng Meng” has been long associated with wooden drums and in recent years, it has too been linked to being the largest producer of steel cable drums in the country.

Today, Weng Meng’s steel drums are made and designed to meet the higher and heavier loading capacity requirements of the cable industry.

DESIGN FEATURES
Weng Meng’s steel drums, which are perfectly concentric, metal drums, have the following built-in features:

• The round-inner edged flanges have smooth belly finishing to facilitate cable end attaching as well as rapid and uniform winding of cables for greater cable protection during transportation.
  
• The circumference and corrugated flange of the drums are strengthened to cushion the heavy impact caused by repetitive handling and transportation.
  
• The outer circumference of the flanges is punched with evenly spaced hole to facilitate easy battening.

Although most demand for the steel drums fall within the standard dimension schedule, Weng Meng’s marketing and production teams work closely with our clients to build drums to special specification. The options could range from:

• Producing the drums in their knockdown forms to completely built-up units,
  
• Carrying flange design requirements depending on usage and requirements. You may request for corrugation on both the inner and the outer faces of the drums or corrugation on the outer face and smooth in the inner face or flat surfaces for both the faces can be met with unwavering success.
  

KNOCK-DOWN FORMAT
Weng Meng’s steel drum are built for the customer’s convenience.

As the drums are knock-down and light in weight, they can be easily stacked away for storage or for transportation. Moreover, Weng Meng has made the assembling, dismantling and reassembling of the drums easy process.

QUALITY ASSURANCE
Weng Meng has a dedicated quality assurance team whose main task is to ensure that each drum produces is of the highest quality and meets the specifications of our customers.

PAINTING SERVICES
Different colours are sprayed on drum s as identification to differentiate applications of end users.

As a value added service, clients can select from an existing range of colours and Weng Meng can help spray paint the steel drums according to the client’s needs.
